A message from Christchurch, New Zealand
Following the horrible events in Christchurch, we were contacted by Rudy’s dad to see if we would make a card of friendship to one of the mosques attacked.
Mrs McCulloch organised a card to be signed by children from around the school—which Rudy took to the mosque when he and his family visited.
Rudy’s dad has emailed to say that all of the people at the mosque were incredibly friendly and welcoming to us. They invited Rudy and his family in, showed them around the mosque and introduced them to the elders. They were also very grateful for the effort the children had put in and were really moved and touched that people across the world from all faiths were thinking of them.
In addition they gave Rudy a “peace bear” for him to bring into school
