Creative Arts Week
Our Creative Arts Week took place from 16th to 20th June with an ‘Outdoor Arts’ theme.
The bells have now stopped jingling on enthusiastic dancers’ legs; the headdresses have been admired; paint has dried and fabulous sculptures displayed, as once again we celebrate the children’s wonderful art work.
Foundation pupils made mini monsters; Year 1 visited Warwick Arts Centre and experienced outdoor sculptures – close up! (pictured above); Year 2 had music and morris dancing; Year 3 had a giant’s picnic; Year 4 worked with mud, glorious mud; Year 5 had a monster mash-up and Year 6 had music in the outdoor classroom and made some Banksy-stlye art with attitude.
Those of you who came in to view your child’s work will, I’m sure, agree that the amount of work produced and the children’s learning was truly enriched by the experience.

Special thanks go to the Brookhurst School Association, who helped to fund the Creative Arts Week with their hard work and dedication.
