French lessons with a difference

French clubSix Year 5 pupils held a French morning for children in Years 2, 3 and 4 on Bastille Day (Monday 14th July) to show off their French learning this year!

The six children – Caitlin, Joe, Leo, Sakshi, Maddie and Ishita – ran a variety of activities for children who will be taught French at Brookhurst as part of their MFL learning from September 2014.

The day was a great success with over 180 children learning some French, many for the first time.

“I enjoyed the day because it was fun teaching a bit of French to lots of different aged children.” – Sakshi

“I really enjoyed the day because it was challenging but fun.” – Leo

“I really enjoyed the day teaching children and getting to know new people too. It was a pleasure to be part of.” – Ishita

“I enjoyed teaching Year 4, 3 and 2 different safari animals in French. I learnt the names for the animals too!” – Joe
