The Spinney’s new pond platform
During the Easter holiday a team from Jaguar Land Rover spent two days helping us improve our outdoor learning environment. Some of their work you would have seen already, whilst other aspects are less obvious.
They were set a mammoth task of repairing, moving and painting fences; laying a path to the spinney, building a shoe shelter and pond dipping platform; creating an allotment area and building raised beds; erecting a shed for foundation and the out of school club to store equipment in.
We would like to take this opportunity to say a huge thank you to Mrs Wythe for her vision, dedication and hard work, which made this all possible.
The full story can be seen on a display in the main corridor. Please come in and have a look.
We cannot thank JLR enough for all their hard work and determination.
Our next steps are to complete the area between key stage 1 and key stage 2 playgrounds, get the allotment planted up and begin work on improving the front of the school.
If you would like to help in any way with these projects please speak to Mrs Wythe for more information.
