Uniform Policy
We are proud to wear our uniform at Brookhurst – black or grey trousers or skirt, blue or white polo top with a blue sweatshirt or cardigan with the school logo. There are 3 places where uniforms can be purchased, online from My Clothing, with an online account with Trutex and, second-hand, at BSA uniform sales. For more details on how to purchase please see below.
Please note we also have specific kit requirements for PE but since this does not need to be embroidered, PE kits can be obtained from any supplier.
PE Kit
Indoor kit:
White/blue T-shirt, shorts and plimsolls/pumps.
Outdoor kit:
White/blue T-shirt, jogging bottoms, jumper and trainers.
My Clothing
A percentage of uniform purchased from My Clothing are donated to the school. The clothes are ethically sourced & embroidered in the UK.
Trutex
Our uniform can also be supplied from Trutex. Please take a look at their digital brochure or request a copy from the school office.
You can purchase a uniform direct from Trutex at www.trutexdirect.com, where you will need to setup an account before making a purchase.
When creating an account, please enter the school’s LEA code (LEA00307PD) when prompted to view our school’s uniform page.
School uniform is available from Trutex all year round. Delivery is £2.55 or free on orders over £40. Returns and exchanges are free. Trutex will normally deliver all orders within 7 working days, although this may increase towards the start of the school year.
Second hand uniform
Volunteers from our PTA, Brookhurst School Association (BSA), collect logo items of Brookhurst uniform that are used but in a good condition. They then sell these at regular sales throughout the year for just £1 per item, with all proceeds going back into the BSA. This is a great way of stocking up on spare jumpers, etc. and of putting decent-quality uniform to good use once your child has grown out of it. Please hand in any unwanted logo items to the school office to pass on to the BSA, and look out in the school newsletter for details of forthcoming sales.
